Greenhouse + CoderPad Live Integration
Greenhouse Recruiting and CoderPad have teamed up to help you better evaluate technical candidates through live collaborative coding interviews and take-home assignments.
CoderPad is the leading technical interview platform for teams that need a simple, fast solution to help accurately assess candidates throughout the hiring stages. It works like an IDE to emulate real world scenarios and is easily personalized to specific development team needs - ensuring a positive experience for both the candidate and the interviewer.
The CoderPad Live integration with Greenhouse enables you and your candidates to write and execute code collaboratively during an interview - right in your browser. Setup is simple and convenient. In this article, we will cover how to:

- Troubleshoot
1. Find Your CoderPad API Key
To enable Greenhouse Recruiting’s integration with CoderPad for Live interviews, Greenhouse Recruiting needs your CoderPad API Key.

Navigate to your CoderPad account and locate the API Key on your Personal Settings page. Copy the CoderPad API Key.
2. Enable the CoderPad Live Integration
With the CoderPad API Key copied, navigate to your Greenhouse Recruiting account. Click the ellipsis on the navigation bar and select Integrations from the dropdown menu.
Note: Every user in your organization who wishes to use the integration must input their own CoderPad API Key into Greenhouse Recruiting.
From the Integrations page, use the provided search feature to find CoderPad. Select CoderPad Live from the results list.
Click Connect on the right-hand side and input the copied CoderPad API Key.
When finished, click Save. The CoderPad Live integration is now enabled for this user’s account.
3. Add CoderPad Live Link to Interview Stage
To add a CoderPad Live link to an interview stage, Greenhouse users with the integration enabled should click Schedule Interview from a candidate’s On Job panel.
Note: A CoderPad link can be added to any interview stage with a scheduled interview. In the below example, we have created a unique interview stage for the CoderPad test called ‘Technical Screening.’
From the Schedule Interview page, click +CoderPad Live Link to generate a session. The link to the session will automatically be added in the description of the interview.
Complete the steps to schedule the interview with the Interviewer on your team. When finished, click Schedule and Continue.
Note: Don't forget to also include the CoderPad Live link in any candidate communication you send regarding the interview.
The CoderPad Live link will be in the Interview Kit for your reference and will be visible in your calendar client. Click Send Invites to send the interview invitation.
Interviewers should have their CoderPad Live link in their interview meeting invites. Here is an example of a Google Calendar invite:
You should then provide the CoderPad Live link to candidates via their interview meeting invite and/or their pre-interview information.
